Capstone Reflectio
Capstone Reflection
As I prepare to write my final blog post, I feel really accomplished. It's amazing to see how this spring quarter has now come to an end. Today I finished the curriculum that I began working on 9 weeks ago. Reflecting on the experiences, challenges, and growth that I have gained from this capstone is crazy!
When I found out that we were going to have to create our own curriculum, I was so overwhelmed. From the initial brainstorming to the countless hours spent researching, designing, and refining each lesson, every phase has been a growth opportunity. Looking back at the finished product, I feel proud of the work I accomplished.
One aspect of the curriculum that I really wanted to keep throughout each lesson is its focus on encouraging student creativity and critical thinking. By integrating interactive activities, real-world examples, and collaborative problem-solving opportunities, I tried to create a learning environment that sparks curiosity, exploration, and innovation.
My curriculum is not perfect but I will continue to refine and change some aspects of it. This process brought me doubt, frustration, and uncertainty. There were instances where I didn't think I could finish it. But, I proved myself wrong!
Looking back, I realize that developing this curriculum was not just an assigned project but also a growing opportunity and a chance to try something new. Along the way, I learned about the significance of flexibility, adaptability, and open-mindedness. I recognized the impact education has on students and how much time and effort is put in just to make a lesson happen.
From this project, my passion for the world of education has been rediscovered and I am so excited to see what other goals I can accomplish, as I continue my own education!
